This story helped me to begin to understand just how Toxic and complicated the toxic assets are to clean up and understand. It was just not that mortgages were bundled and pooled to be sold but how many times this happened and how amazingly hard it is now to gauge the value of this swimming pool of mortage debt. The numbers in this article are pretty interesting. In some cases there are 20 million pieces of information needed to gauge value. Also, lots of acronyms.
